New West Writers – February 2018 meeting

Hello New West Writers:

The next meeting of New West Writers will take place on 17th February between 10:30am and 4:30pm.

The schedule for the day will be roughly as follows:

10:30am – 11:15am Business. There are a few items of business we need to discuss at this meeting, including the spring 2018 events.

11:15am – 3:30pm Critiquing of member’s writing (with a break for lunch at an appropriate time).

Once the critiques are completed, we should review the draft copy of Collage II.

Note the meeting will take place in the downstairs room of the Arts Council Gallery in Queen’s Park. If the door is locked, please knock on the glass and someone will let you in.

Bring between 7-9 copies of an example of your writing (maximum 1000 words) for the rest of the group to critique.

Guests are still welcome to attend this meeting without charge to see if they want to join.

New West Writers – Next Meeting on April 16th

The next meeting of New West Writers will take place on April 16th between 10:30 am and 4 pm. Guests are welcome.

The schedule for the day will be roughly as follows:

10:30 am – 10:45 am Business. Discussions. Pay Member Fees for 2015 – 2016.

10:45 am – 4 pm Critiquing of member’s writing (with a break for lunch at an appropriate time – you might want to bring your own lunch or visit the shops on 8th Avenue)

Please note the meeting will take place in the downstairs room of the Arts Council Gallery in Queen’s Park. This is where we held the launch of the Saving Seeds anthology in 2014 – for directions see the map at the bottom of this webpage

and note carefully the direction of the arrows of the one way system for cars within the park when heading towards 6th Avenue.

The 155 bus travels along 6th Avenue.

Please bring between 6-8 copies of an example of your writing (maximum 1200 words) for the rest of the group to critique.
